The Australian aboriginees play the didgeridoo(yirdaki) since thousands
of years ago. They are one of the oldest and richest cultures in
the world.
About the didgeridoo or yidarki there are many histories and legends
talking about where it comes from or his propiertis. The aboriginees
use to play the yirdaki in rituals, ceremonies and parties like
korroborees...
There are many many tribes and lenguages in Australia, and of course
there are many different names for the didgeridoo.
Here you have some of them:
didjeridoo, djalupu, a:ra:wi, djalupun, djubinj, ganbag, yiraki,
yiraga, ihambilbilg, maluk...
Now the aborigenees are having hard times tryng to adapt their
old culture to the new Australian culture.
